Walked the tour in the game? Log in to see how far you came. It is recorded by your Minecraft name, so a tour walked before you registered counts too.
Taking the tour in the game
Every new citizen is offered the tour on arriving. Talk to the Wayfinder by the signpost at spawn and choose
Take the tour, or type /cw tour start. The Wayfinder walks with you from the arrival square over the
bridge to the Square of the Revolution and through every institution: the words come in your chat,
the voices through your speakers, and an arrow at the bottom of the screen shows the direction and the distance to the next
stop. It takes about a quarter of an hour. Already on the square? Its own Wayfinder begins the tour there.
/cw tour start- begins the tour, or carries on where you stopped it (the Wayfinder's "Take the tour" at spawn does the same)
/cw tour start square- the same, but a new tour begins at the Square of the Revolution (the Wayfinder's "Take the tour" on the square)
/cw tour next- skips the rest of what is being said at a stop
/cw tour repeat- says a stop again
/cw tour where- the way to the next stop
/cw tour stop- stops the tour; start carries on later
/cw tour restart- begins again at the arrival square

1 The arrival square
The red star in the middle of the spawn plaza, where every citizen arrives. About the spawn plaza

Welcome, comrade, to the Marxist-Leninist Commonwealth! I am the Wayfinder. Here the land, the workshops and the stores belong to all of us, and the Council of all citizens decides.

Walk with me, and I will show you all of it, from this plaza to the Square of the Revolution across the strait. Follow the arrow at the bottom of your screen.

2 The rules, and how life goes here

A few rules before we set out. Stay in character, and put out-of-character talk in brackets. Common property is common: take from the stores only what the institutions allot you.

Settle disputes through the institutions, never by griefing. And be kind to the people behind the characters: conflict in the story is fine, real hostility is not.

And how does life go here? We work, we deliver to the common stores, and together we meet the targets of the plan. Whatever you do in the world is seen on the Commonwealth's website too.

3 The road and the bridge

This is the road of the Commonwealth. It runs straight east from the arrival square, over the ridge and across the strait on the great bridge.

On the far shore lies the Square of the Revolution, where every institution has its house. The working people built it, for the working people. Cross with me, comrade.

4 The Square of the Revolution

The Square of the Revolution! At the far end stands the Council Hall with its tower. On your left, the Courthouse, the Planning Commission and the Common Stores. On your right, the Academy, the House of Culture and the Polyclinic.

Here at the gateway stand the Herald, beside the board of the Gazette, and another Wayfinder at the signpost. The boards on the square are written by the website, and they change as the Commonwealth changes.

We begin where everything begins: at the Council Hall. Walk up the square to its portico.

5 The Council Hall

Wayfinder
The Council Hall. The Council of all citizens is the highest authority of the Commonwealth, and it may overturn any decision of any institution.

Every citizen may table a motion, speak in the debate and cast one vote. The vote is secret, the tally is public, and you may change your vote until the voting closes.

A motion needs a quorum of half the active citizens, abstentions counted, and more votes for than against; a tie means no. Motions are tabled and voted on the website, and the boards inside show the agenda and the results.

Inside you will also find the Hall of Honour, where the medals and the Heroes of the Commonwealth are remembered. Now, across the square to the Courthouse.

6 The Courthouse

Wayfinder
The Courthouse, seat of the People's Court. It judges by the Constitution and the Laws of the Commonwealth, and it seeks to repair harm, never to take revenge.

Comrade, any citizen may bring a case before this court: on the website, or here in the world with /cw court and your complaint. Whoever is accused is always heard first.

They have ten minutes to reply (/cw reply); then the court decides, and gives its reasons in public. Any decision may be appealed to the Council. Socialist legality protects us all.

When the court decides, its session is held in the hall for everyone present, and the record grows on the website. The docket by the door lists the open cases (/cw docket).

7 The State Planning Commission

The State Planning Commission. We direct our production by a plan, made for periods of three weeks, with a target for each good the Commonwealth needs.

Any citizen may propose a change to the plan, and so may the Commission itself (/cw commission and your proposal). Every change goes before the Council, and the game master confirms it.

The board inside shows every target and how far we have come. And every delivery to the common stores counts towards the plan, which brings us next door.

8 The Common Stores and the State Bank

Wayfinder
The Common Stores, kept by the State Bank. There is no money here. Instead each citizen pays the quota in kind: goods delivered to the stores in every plan period. The Council sets the quota.

To deliver, hold the goods in your main hand and type /cw deliver. The State Bank writes you a receipt, and the goods count towards your quota and towards the plan. /cw status shows your account.

When you need goods for your work or your home, ask the Distribution Office on the website; it allots them from the stores. And whoever works a job is paid in rations, issued by the State.

9 The People's Polyclinic

Across the square: the People's Polyclinic, home of the Health Service. Its physician sees every citizen, and nobody pays, as is right among equals.

Come in, comrade, and let me have a look at you. Ask me for a check-up with /cw checkup, and I will read your health, your hunger and your strength, and tell you what to do first.

10 The House of Culture and the People's Library

Wayfinder
The House of Culture, with its theatre, and to the left, at the foot of its own steps, the People's Library. Readings, speeches and performances are held on this stage.

The Writer of the People will write an ode about your deeds, once a day (/cw ode). The Chronicler keeps the Chronicle of the Commonwealth and will hand you a copy (/cw chronicle).

The Librarian lends the Constitution, the Laws, the Rules and the Handbook for New Citizens as books (/cw library). Read them, comrade: they are the ground we stand on.

11 The Academy of Sciences

The Academy of Sciences. Its professors teach history, engineering, agronomy, architecture and political economy, and the Director of Research leads our science.

Welcome to the Academy, comrade. Our lectures are yours to take home as books, in the world (/cw lecture and a subject) or on the website. Knowledge kept to oneself is knowledge wasted.

12 The steps of the Council Hall

Back at the steps of the Council Hall, and you have seen the whole Commonwealth. One more thing, and it matters most: the website.

Register on the website with an invitation from the game master and your exact Minecraft name. Then your deliveries, your votes and your cases are all recorded as yours.

Choose a job there, too: farmer, miner, builder, engineer and more. Your job gives you assignments every day (/cw assignments), pays you in rations, and raises you from apprentice to Hero of Labour.

The Commonwealth honours every kind of service with medals, and the Hall of Honour remembers them. This walk has earned you your first: the Badge of the Oriented Citizen.
